The Warsaw Pact

This pact is signed on the 14th of May 1955 in Warsaw and is a military political alliance.

The participants are the German Democratic Republic, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, the Soviet Union, Hungary, Czechoslovakia and Albania. In conformity with the charter of the United Nations Organization (UNO) the participants engaged to refrain in the international relations from menace with power or from its use. In case of attack over a participant country, the other once, which have signed the pact, are obliged to help it with all the means.

The function of a highest leader in the organization of the Warsaw Pact is taken over by the Political Consultative Command of the military forces which runs the activity of the United Military Forces with the military council and the Headquarters.

The Warsaw Pact is called on the 1st of July, 1991.
